The muscle without the truck

Loading and unloading help, your way.

If you already have the truck, trailer, or portable container, labor-only moving can be the practical fit. Tell us what is being moved, the access at both ends, and the equipment on site so the work can be scoped clearly.

Match the labor plan to your equipment.

Provide the rental-truck, trailer, container, or storage-unit size along with a complete inventory. Confirm who supplies pads, straps, dollies, ramps, and tie-downs, and ask the rental provider about weight limits and prohibited items. Loading space can disappear quickly when boxes and furniture are not measured honestly.

Define the scope

List the rooms, large pieces, approximate boxes, packing needs, and anything unusually heavy or delicate.

Plan both addresses

Share stairs, elevators, gates, parking, driveways, long carries, and any timing restrictions.

Confirm the timing

A preferred date or date range—and any firm deadlines—helps shape availability and travel planning.

Have the truck and site ready.

Pick up the rental vehicle before the agreed start time, park it on a safe and level surface, and clear the path from the home. For unloading, know where each large piece belongs so the crew is not waiting on room decisions while the rental clock continues.

Who drives the rental truck on a labor-only move?

The customer remains responsible for the rental vehicle and transportation unless a different service is confirmed in writing. Discuss what equipment is available, who handles driving, and whether help is needed at one address or both before scheduling the labor.

Can services be combined?

Yes. Packing, moving, unloading, and placement needs can be discussed together. Final options depend on the route, timing, job scope, and availability.

Do you serve communities outside Springfield?

Ozarks Moving Company plans moves across major communities in Southwest and south-central Missouri. Browse the regional service-area guides or call (417) 487-6655 with both locations.
